"Lemonade" and No It's Not Gucci Time

If you like Crystal Castles, go download some Coco Rosie immediately, scratch that, buy all four albums. (I very rarely recommend this) These sisters have a truly inspiring cinematic life story, and their music reflects the deep undertones of their father’s Native American roots and religious practices. Described as “Freak Folk,” the music Coco Rosie has produced so far is ground-breaking; utilizing abnormal percussion instruments, such as children’s toys, their music resonates a suffering and understanding humbling to all those willing to listen. Sierra’s piano melodies coupled with Bianca’s vocal manipulations create a sobering haunting effect, which cuts to the core of the listener, well me at least, disarms all preconceptions and creates a truly inspiringly mystical experience.

Their music is not for everyone but one listen of “Werewolves” is enough to understand exactly what I speak of. I wish I could say more but my words do them no justice.
