ADHD Diary #1: "Mr. Cain, What's Your Stance on Hawt Chicks? And If Elected What Will You Do to Facilitate Their Presence?": Digressions on Modern Politics, Soggy Grundles and that dude from "Sons of Guns"

Warning: This Manuscript Makes Little To No Sense!

You probably haven't heard enough about the republican primaries on mainstream media. So being an astute citizen, joints and cheese would like to bring you some perspective. Various officials and "so called" celebrities have been asking the candidates some tough pertinent questions, and some of them haven't. Some of the candidates have answered these questions, and some haven't. I was thinking about what kind of question would I ask potential candidates in a debate, if given the chance.  I tossed and I turned attempting to come up with this ultimate question. And just when I thought it would never come, it hit. It was short, simple and fully disclosing. The question I would ask is: "What is your stance on hawt chicks?" What I realized is that the implications of this question have serious statistical and ideological ties to presidential success.
"This is my finger, it is for groping hawt chicks. This is my
tongue, it is for denying it! Hawt Chicks for you and me."

"Where the fuck is my Mcrib!

All jokes aside now lets think about this. This is an exciting time. I will be voting for Herman Cain, and by Herman Cain I mean Mike Tyson impersonating Herman Cain, next year. I will be voting for him primarily because in a private press conference Cain stated, "Hawt chicks are America, just like me. If elected I will facilitate there presence by subsidizing Gilbeys and Squirt, Beer Bongs, and executing a fountain pour on the fizirst lady during my inauguration speech." (Sources unreported but Blake Anderson was there, and I know he feels me)

"He's not kidding dude. I was there and it was rad as balls."
Hermann Cain's potential candidacy is in someways is the hot european 7th cousin to the "Who would you rather have a beer with?" paradigm. Yeah I'd like to have a beer with Cain,  but I'd prefer that he  were not running for president. That way I could party with him and perform awesome buddy pours with him. Just as I wish my hot 7th european cousin wasn't actually related to me so I could see if bidets really work. Herman should be elected in my mind, mainly because i believe that me and Blake's votes alone should outweigh all other votes. Apparently democracy says otherwise. Regardless, it is a fact that if elected, with this mindset, Herman will join a long list of awesome presidents that have literally blown the lid off the industry of facilitating hawt chicks.

Knowing Bill Clinton, in many ways the
greatest American since Kennedy or the guy from
"Sons of Guns," he probably did hit it
When it comes down to it , what is a good president but that one guy that is just a little more charismatic, better looking and a whole lot dumber than you. That one guy who talked his way into his female professors pants at the Ivy League School -which his dad talked his kid into- in order to graduate top of his class. Who then talked his way into the  oval office. Charisma and charm, not intelligence, are the most essential modern presidential quality. Some people may take offense to this, but I am sorry its true. The last two admired presidents were Kennedy and Clinton, and both were notorious womanizers. I honestly wouldn't want a President any different. If he can cheat and manage his love life, he can handle foreign relations. Hilary is much scarier that any African or Middle Eastern War Baron. When he was in office, taking over Dictators was the easy part of Clinton's day.  The President, in nature and title is the nation's Chief Executive Officer. The CEO does not come up with Business Plans and Innovative Ideas, he approves them. When Steve jobs tried to do that as CEO of Apple, he was fired and resulting in him doing LSD for 5 days in the woods visa vie a buttchug facilitated by Andy Dick. (Steve Jobs failed to comment on this report but Blake Anderson corroborates this story)

My ideal President is not what is being portrayed in the media today. People seem to want an all encompassing figure to emerge and single handedly fix all the problems with America. Being disappointed in the lack of said figure is what religion is for.  My President is the guy who was kicked out of an AC/DC concert not for doing coke off a girl's rack, which he was, but because he was stealing too many of the band's groupies; because this is the modern American way. Ever since the "Baby Boomers," the subsequent generations, however you choose to name them, no longer have the skills, work ethic or intelligence to compete on an even level with the rest of the world. My platonic President is a constant reminder that charisma, connections and the ability to look good in a suit trump intelligence any day. He is proof that the ability to make a shitty party rock, by turning up the Kenny Loggins and Europe playlist and delivering a speech (grounded in no fact or logic) that enables all who hear it to consume--or at least perceive that they can consume-- double to triple their typical regiment of alcohol; resulting in every guy at the party getting laid, will prevail in life. His stance on hot chicks transcends all other stances previously, and probably includes a diagram for the proper footing for the given position.  There is proof in his behavior that the American Way will not succumb to the demands of reality, and for that we thank you. So grab a handful of hawt chicks for the boys and Vote Cain Busey 2012. Because maybe the issues in America today are due to poor leadership, a poor work ethic or maybe just maybe it is because people take things just a little too seriously. So crack a domestic beer and do something stupid because you have the fucking right to do so. (I suggest Beersinthepants.com) Then maybe you'll crack a laugh and remember why freedom makes America the greatest country on this earth you, Soggy Dog You.

What Karl is Listening To

Hey y'all. Just landed in New Orleans and decided I'm going to start post a little more regularly on J&C, so be sure to check back here for updates. I kind of made the decision after I had this nightmare last night when I was sleeping and I had a dream that Gabe had switched up the layout to this really shitty font and color without telling me. So I guess it was my subconscious telling me to get back to posting. Anyways, I've been scrolling through my music library and have a couple of songs that I would like to share:

1. Flosstradamus- Overnight Star
Flosstradamus is a lesser known duo that I first discovered my Freshman year. They opened for Kid Cudi and I can honestly say I enjoyed there show much more than Cudi's. It was energetic, fun, and they played some sweet music. This song is an awesome mash-up (and I use mash-up loosely because it manages to transcend the genre, improving upon Yeezy's old single, Celebrity Overnight). They wisely sample Sigur Ros at the end--be sure to check it out.
Download-http://www.mediafire.com/?vpx2muztj1x

2. Sak Noel- Loka People
Remember the We No Speak Americano phase that swept throughout the radio, clubs, and bars last year? Well, I am proud to show you the new club anthem. This song has a hypnotic beat and awesome lyrics. I am almost positive that this song is already pulsing in the clubs in Spain, so play this at your next party--it'll get you grooving.
Download-http://www.mediafire.com/?3q66s36yau05xdf

3. Dub Pistols- Speed of Light
I heard this song on Pandora a couple years ago and I really like it. Dub Pistols are a rap group from the UK and I am a huge fan of this song and their flow over this NASA-esque beat makes for a great song.

Back In Business--New Mixtape

Sorry for the lack in posts... this has been a crazy summer. Anyways, I have recently got on my music game and have collected some delectable new songs to add to your music library. Enjoy the next volume of J&C Approves Of:

1. Foster the People- Waste
I recently downloaded FTP's debut Album Torches and listened to it all the way through and can honestly say I wasn't disappointed in a single song. Each one contains infectious pop elements (a la Animal Collective) with great vocals. I particularly liked this song Waste because it is everything that Bruno Mar's shitty "The Lazy Song" isn't. This song is especially appropriate for a lazy Sunday morning after a hard night of partying the night before when you just want to lay in bed all day long and not do anything. But really though--buy FTP's new album... you will not be disappointed.

2. TV Girl- I Don't Care
This melodramatic, kind of angsty song is fucking awesome. The lead singer drones over the electronic-rock beat proclaiming about all of the shit he just doesn't care about.

3. Diduntdidunt- Mark Ronson feat. Saigon
For Entourage fans out there... remember in Season Two when Turtle 'represented' his first client, the hip-hop artist Saigon? It took listening to Mark Ronson's Here Comes The Fuzz to recognize that Saigon is actually a dope rapper with nice flow and great lyrics. This song boasts a nice beat typical of Ronson (horns, keyboard, etc.) and a new word to add to your lexicon: Diduntdidunt (listen to the song for pronunciation). A diduntdidunt is someone that you just don't care about and this song has Saigon rapping about all those burnt out 'diduntdidunts' in your life.

4. The Teenagers- Homecoming
I'm not going ruin this song for you by telling you what its about. All I'm going to say is that it will be not what you expect at all. Probably one of my favorite, most unexpected, and clever songs in my music library.

5. John Legend & Andre 3000- Greenlight (MSTRKRFT Remix)
I have always appreciated MSTRKRFT's hard-hitting 'noise techno'. Crafted with this classic song, it works out for a very smooth remix. Listen for the dope cow-bell in the background.

6. Disco Friends- Just Jack
Just Jack has been on my radar for a couple years. He is a british electronic-low key pop artist that has released two albums. I have liked this song for a while. It builds up to a faster tempo so if you don't like the first thirty seconds listen to it all the way through. It will grow on you.

7. Can't Stop Now- Major Lazer feat. Mr. Vegas & Jovi Rockwell
Major Lazer, comprised of Diplo and Switch, are one of my favorite electronic groups out there. I use the word electronic loosely however because their music really can't be defined into one genre. Their live acts are insane, sweaty dance parties that transcend a normal DJ set. When I saw them at Sasquatch and Diplo dropped this song, while Switch was running around on stage in his boxers humping a thick woman in lingerie, will make for a moment I will never forget. This song combines silky reggae vocals with a bumping background beat provided by Diplo. Enjoy.

I WANT YOU TO **** MY ****

This Swedish electronic-rock band called Addeboy vs. Cliff make dope beats and even doper lyrics. They make the best use of the censor sound, often heard on the radio, I have ever heard in their song "Beep my Beep". Listen to this song and let it be as dirty or clean as you want it to be. Enjoy

Hollywood's Watchful Guardian

Does the name Jesse Heiman mean anything to you? If not, then I suggest you crawl out of the godforsaken rock that you have been living in your entire life and watch the video below.

Jesse Heiman has single-handedly redefined the meaning of greatness in the entertainment industry over the last ten years. He leaves his mark on iconic films such as Spider-Man, American Pie, Old School, and others by precisely and meticulously inserting himself in certain scenes throughout the movie. He has ripped the lid of the industry from the inside out and hes still going strong. Its strange to think that the one constant in almost every major film that I have ever loved is Jesse. If I were to ever find myself watching some sub-par Kevin James movie and Jesse had made an appearance, a warm comforting smile would come to my face as if I were greeting an old friend. His work on the film Spider Man remains to this day one of the most hauntingly beautiful performances I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. He is my silent guardian, watchful protector, and dark knight. Jesse Heiman is THE GREATEST EXTRA EVER.

Will Somebody Keep Mac Miller in a Fucking Closet Please!

So Mac Miller released his debut album title, Blue Slide Park, today in a 5 minute video called "BubbleGum!" on YouTube, which was supposed to be some sad attempt at promotional hype. Regardless, this video only furthers the question I am forced to ask myself every time his name is uttered: Why is someone so talented so fucking burnt in real life?! Furthermore how can someone who is so charismatic and charming behind a microphone be so unappealing in front of a camera. I mean seriously? I think he would be better of at this point if he had never released any videos of himself at all. Every time I see him in front of a camera, it just becomes more apparent that I in no way shape or form have any desire to listen to anything he has to say. In every interview, music video or promo, I have seen him in, everything about him from the way he dresses, to the way he speaks to that stupid thumbs up movement he always talks about seems forced, calculated, unnatural and in no way resembles any little bit of swag. In fact he looks like a mentally challenged person who cant handle there weed in this video. But when it comes down to it he has a sponsored mixtape on datpiff, and I don't. Look at the video and see for yourself (Sorry he is too obnoxious in it. I refuse to embed it in my site so here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vu-1CkITrL0&feature=player_embedded)

White Boys to Watch For

The Surprisingly Sublime Suburban kids from Boston.
David von Mering and Carter Schultz
A.E.R.- The Reach
Presenting a nice little gig out of Wayland, Mass, A.E.R., made up of David von Mering and Carter Schultz, has a nice sound and fresh flows on the recently dropped album The Reach, which is leaving me reminiscent of a more developed version of  Matisyahu and Slightly Stoopid's rhythms. Hailing from the East Coast, I am impressed with this young band's ability to not only mimick the predominantly West Coast sound, but also improve upon the status quo that has become the rap-rock/reggae paradigm.    Bringing a downtempo and ecclectic feel to the beat while remaining aesthetically appealing to a mainstrem listener, A.E.R. has a product here that is pitched in tune to sell.

Chris Webby
Chris Webby- The Underclassmen, Best in The Burbs, Webster's Laboratory,  (Anything You Can Get Your Hands on)
I mean good Mixtape, but your 21 dude, not exactly an underclassmen
The Webster is definitely become a significant point on several people's maps, and is fixed set ready to blow. The release of his new Mixtape "The UnderClassmen" reminds me also how much I loved "Webster's Labratory" as well.  Never before have I heard of an unsigned artist overloading Dat Piff's servers with consecutive mixtapes. I've been waiting to post on him for quite some time now, the newest Mixtape featuring the track I Need a Dolla ( feat Mac Miller), which was featured on Joints and Cheese early last month, now finally gives me reason to bring all forth. Webby and the whole crew drop the hammer on the scene with every beat, rhyme, and verse. Now messing with greats like DJ Ill Will, DJ Rockstar, Freeway, Gorilla Zoe, and Mac Miller, the News in Norwalk reads: "Connecticut Finally Has Something to Brag About!"

I dont really have anything to say about this video or artist other than that he really doesn't rap good and it  really doesn't matter. He kinda reminds me of Zef from Die Antwoord mashed with Asher Roth except I dont want to smoke as much meth and it doesn't suck. "I'm blacked out sleep walking on a quest for god in my friends apartment."

White Panda Propaganda

First off, here at J&C we don't discriminate against non-white pandas. In fact most Panda's are not white, but rather, multi-racial. Regardless, here is a fresh slice of life from one of my favorite mash-up artists, White Panda. This particular song is called shooting superstars and is a throwback to Eminem's Superman and new age electronic. White Panda's interpretation of Eminem's Superman is so fresh and unique that not even Lois Lane would recognize it.

Cowboys & Aliens: An unprecedented symbiotic fusion

Sweaty palms, a racing heartbeat, and dilating pupils. No, this wasn't the result of snorting a mountain of cocaine, but rather a justifiable reaction to being one day closer to the opening of  John Favreu's Cowboys and Aliens. I imagine that John felt the same way when he conjured up the groundbreaking premise for his movie. He has teamed up with Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, and Olivia Wilde to create an unprecedented symbiotic union between western, thriller, and sci-fi genres. At first glance one may be fooled into thinking that Cowboys and Aliens is merely Hollywood going to far, but in reality it is the perfect creation and brainchild of one of the industry's most accomplished directors/producers/actors/writers in Hollywood. In the same way that John Favreu refuses to be confined to one profession, Cowboys and Aliens also refuses to be contained by one genre. I was blown away at how bold the premise was. Its raw, in your face, like a bad cold sore and basically says Fuck You to traditional summer blockbuster movies and blows the lid of the entire industry.
Yeah, Apparently Tits Were Sweet Back Then Too
And what would a summer blockbuster be without a full blown hottie/damsel in distress. With Olivia Wilde's unearthly good looks one would think that she was an Alien herself...but lets hope not. I fully expect the film to keep me planted in my seat, clenching my $8.50 soda, and continually having to remind myself that I am in-fact experiencing a fusion of two cinematic subcultures that have been masterfully intertwined. Although we probably know that if Aliens did attack the western US in 1873 we would be totally fucked, No, thats an understatement, we would experience the total annihilation of our planet and race or get anally probed. The fact that we will undoubtedly see the Aliens succumb to the cowboys merely so that impressionable viewers like little Timmy don't shit there pants and have nightmares at night(that is the american paradime). That is the beauty of the movie though. The premise is so outlandish, disgusting, and far removed from what the general public is used to seeing that it forces the audience to take the film at face value and simply enjoy the most ridiculous and visually stimulating battles EVER. I will counting down the days till the release of Cowboys and Aliens. The invasion starts July 29 hope you all embark on the journey that is Cowboys and Aliens.

Social Networking Gone Wrong--Summer Wars

Anime has always been a film genre I have little interest in. I find it trivial, obnoxious, and way too melodramatic for my taste. Interestingly enough, one of my all-time favorite movies is an anime film--Miyazaki's masterpiece, Spirited Away. When I was perusing iTunes trailers a couple of weeks ago I watched a trailer for a Japanese animation film called Summer Wars. I was almost instantly interested in this film based off its revolutionary animation style. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. The basic premise for this film is about social networking site called Oz (think Facebook but to the millionth power) that gets hacked by a rogue virus with apocalyptic consequences.

I watched this film a couple of days ago and I was very, very impressed. The animation style really is unparalleled. There were many sequences where my jaw dropped and I was asking myself how the hell they animated the scene. The story is also pretty engaging, although a bit dramatic for my tastes, but the animation manages to completely overshadow this. I highly recommend renting this movie. It really made me think of how social networking is so deeply engrained within our society and what were to happen if it just crashed one day. How would our society react if Facebook went offline for a week? I know I would panic (kind of embarrassing to admit) but we invest so much of our lives into social networking sites that I can not imagine a future without them. Just a thought and check out the trailer for Summer Wars below.

Upper Levels of Electro: Uppermost

Uppermost is a French Electro Artist producing electro, house and dubstep out of Paris. He is most famous for his tracks "Cake Shop is Dope" and "Equivocal." Uppermost is one of my favorite DJ's producing progressive tracks across nearly all sub genres of electro, Uppermost is continually pushing the limits of the still budding genre; most notably on his experimental tracks he released for free. These previewed tracks are some of his more experimental music, and provide unique experiences.

Uppermost-Photoelectric

This is a truly instigatingly beautiful track. Engaging the mind building energy with every 8th note.

Uppermost-Heart Rate

Heart Rate has one of the most beautifully building melodies in the short history of the electronic genre building to some bassier tones creating a truly unique experiences.

Uppermost-Mental Process

Mental Process contains some really heavy tones which dissolve into some truly incredible melodies reminiscent of that of Strobe, only more captivating.

Uppermost is a hidden gem within the Electronic scene and has not had the respnse his music deserve. Listen and Download more at http://soundcloud.com/uppermost

Above & Beyond--the best electronic music you've never heard

I was browsing through the iTunes electronic section the other day and came across this electronic band called "Above & Beyond". I previewed a couple of their songs off of their latest album, "Group Therapy" and was impressed, so I downloaded it. I just listened to the whole album and let me say this-I was blown away.

Their music is classified as trance, a genre I tend to shy away from, because I always thought of it as a boring and monotonous. This album completely smashed this generalization out the window. Their music has soaring vocals, amazing beats, and some of the most impressive progression I have heard in a while. Don't be fooled though-Above & Beyond has been a stronghold in the electronic industry since the early 2000's. Their previous album, Tri-Cities, was a bestseller in its genre. They also curate the best of trance music in their Anjunabeats Volumes which are released annually. These include some of their own original work mixed with hypnotic, feel-good music. Anyways, check out my favorite songs off of their new album below and let me know what you think.

Song #1: Prelude
This is probably one of the coolest songs on the album. It starts out as a heavy-hitting, dub-steppy song and quickly progresses into a chilled out beat, finishing with some of the nicest sounding vocals I have heard in a while (think Enya). I really enjoy this song because as it progresses it becomes more and more uplifting making for one of the most inspirational songs I have heard in a while.

Song #2: Alchemy
Zoe Johnston is one of the vocalists featured on a couple of songs on the album, and this one is my favorite. They distort her vocals on the chorus making for a really cool effect. I also like the analogy that they use for the chorus--people who took gen. chem. will enjoy this-- "It was alchemy, to sing to me your freedom song/To make love where there was none/Alchemy, now its all gone/And you were the golden one."

Song #3: Black Room Boy
This song features the other main vocalist on the album, Richard Bedford, and is also my favorite of his. His vocals blend smoothly with the building beat.

J&C Approves of: Fine Dining--Restaurant Noma

Restaurant Noma was recently named the Best Restaurant for the second year in a row back in April and in honour of this amazing restaurant I am going to write a post about it. I consider myself a foodie and really enjoy seeking out the most interesting and unique dining experiences and I have to say, Restaurant Noma takes the cake for the most out of control dining I have ever heard of. I heard of it a couple years ago when I read an article in a cooking magazine and have had my eye on it since theen. It is located in Copanhagen, Denmark which just so happens to be on the way to... nowhere. It seems like an extremely random location for a restaurant that is now so widely acclaimed.

What is it that makes this restaurant so unique and sought out? It all lies in Rene Redezpi, the head chef and owner's, uber-organic philosophy. He has a small army of foragers that collect all over the plush Danish countryside and seafood-rich ocean and utilizes his findings in some of the most creative dishes I have ever heard of.

Read this mouthwatering excerpt from The Wall Street Journal Magazine that describes Restaurant Noma's signature dish, The Hen & The Egg:

"A plate of damp hay appears, smoldering under the empty, superheated pan that rests atop it. A squeeze bottle is produced: You are directed to squirt a few drops of hay-infused oil into the pan, and then crack a speckled wild-duck egg into the oil. A timer is set. The egg white bubbles and spits. When two minutes have elapsed, you are instructed to swirl a knob of goat butter into the pan and briefly sauté a few fragile leaves of spinach and of ramson, a kind of wild garlic that may have been gathered that morning in a nearby city park. The chef brings over a tiny saucepan of forest-green ramson oil, which he spoons over the cooked white. You scatter herbs and wildflowers, and break off whorls from a potato-chip helix. The fragrance of Nordic spring drifts from the pan: the distant smoke, the dampness of thawed earth, the secret pungency of the forest floor. You have discovered what it might be like to fry an egg in the spring woods if you had perfect ingredients and the resources of one of the world's great kitchens. A hundred tiny things have been orchestrated to ensure that you will be eating the best fried egg of your life."

Munitio Earbuds

I am always looking for dope accesories... they are what pull your outfit together. I had been looking for nice headphones for a while that also manage to offer something different. I did not really want Beats by Dre (even though their sound quality is out of control) or anything ordinary. Luckily, I came across a brand of headphones on this site called Gilt Groupe (think Groupon but for clothes). They're are called Munitio Headphones. The instant I saw them I knew I had to get them. Munitio headphones are unique because the earbuds are fashioned out of real bullet shells. Despite the novelty, Munitio still manages to provide the user with superior sound quality.

To Be or Not to Be a Marketing Campaign: Season 8 of Entourage in respect to a possible film

I just saved 23 seconds of your life. You're Welcome
Cast and Crew alike have been tweeting up a storm today from the set of the Entourage in a pensive mood as tommorow will be the last shoot of Entourage as we know it. Season 8 begins July 24th and is set to only contain 6 episodes. A promo was released that gave no hint as to what the next season would be like, and was essentially just this image to your left for 23 seconds, and a rather awesome placement of The Weeknd's song "High for This."
While, there are talks and aspirations of a Full Feature film with Vince and the Boys, season eight will mark the end of an era in popular culture, especially in the eyes of young men. But the real question here is how in the world do you end a show with no ending. The entire premise of the show began following the career of a developing superstar, and his stooges as they rose to the top of the Hollywood social stratus. Beginning as an attempt to buy viewership with glamour and prestige, the show once devoid of any emotional connection, character development, and even human characters and themes, has aged as well as any french wine. Utilizing the elaborate cameos and glamor of its early days to make a fundamentally astounding collection of programming spanning 8 years. Now Doug Ellin and the writers have made a will for the now iconic series, and it is eating at me to now what it says. Essentially, I see two paths season 8 could take. To Be or Not to Be, that is the question:
1) Vince Dies
It is the most logical conclusion based on the direction he has been heading in season 7. In six episodes, I cannot fathom how the writers could turn around the spiral in which Vince plunged himself into. If anyone needs a reminder of how season 7 ended, here's a refresher...

As he says by the end of the season Vince is officially out of control, we could all see that early in the season but as it kept developing, we lost being able to pinpoint just how out of control he was; and in the mind of at least this viewer he fell into that abyss where only addicts reside, the place where you can now longer know just how bad he is at any time. Vince's character in season 7, explored a topic very relevant to Hollywood and Superstardom rather effectively. Vince dies...It would be the ultimate ending to the ultimate Hollywood saga. And then the feature film would start with his funeral, it could be powerful stuff; and I am sure Ellin and the writers considered it. In terms of the other characters, Vince's departure from the realm of the living would finally send the rest of the boys from the nest, and as we have all seen they have become almost entirely independent, a process that has taken the full 7 seasons. Johnny's Bananas is green lit and looking spectacular. Turtle is doing legitimate business, with Marc Cuban, and while it was left on a distressed note Turtle will get his pot of gold and the girl. E, who has been in some ways has been the most dependent and independent character of the series (having the most important job, but having only one client), is getting married and has been building a client base. However, the take-down of Berenson, with Lavine may be too aggressive and fuck everything up for the little guy. As for Ari, these would be his darkest day and he would likely be a changed man. Vince is more than just a client he is like family to Ari, who has been through ups and downs with him. Additionally, I really think that his wife will stay gone. Ari has shown time and time again that he really does adore her and the kids. Dana Gordon has frequently, noted how surprised he is that Ari is one of the good guys in Hollywood, but his efforts to substitute his presence  with money and material goods, combined with his anger, may just be to much. His hubris that they will stick around might just bite him in the ass in a very greco-tragic manner. Hubris, Bro... It'll Get you.

2) Vince goes to Rehab
This would be more in line with the bounce back tendencies of the series. However,  the dillemma is how the fuck can the writers provide any closure to the series in six episodes if they put Vince in rehab. It has taken Kevin Kline two full seasons to come back from rehab. This is not a route I would like to see the writers take solely because I cannot see a way in which the show could be ended without a cliff hanger. (Note: the full feature has not been green lit by any studio, it is merely a desire from the cast and crew, not a definite reality.) A cliff hanger ending, a la Vince escaping from rehab, could lead to an excellent beginning to a full feature film; which based on the popularity and earnings of the show is a plausible endeavor, if the writers can actually create quality content for the big screen. It is a marketing campaign 8 years in the making. For the TV series as its own entity killing Vince makes the most sense, for a franchise sending him to rehab and ending upon his escape makes the most sense. It is a question of Mind v Money, and unfortunately I think we know who will win this battle. Entourage is at the peak of its game, and regardless of what they choose Entourage might just do what lucrative shows frequently fail to do: exit from the top.

Read This NOW-The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay

Ever since I was a little kid, reading has always been one of my favorite activities. When I was working up in Alaska last summer I brought up five books to read with me. I enjoyed all of them, but one novel ended up being one of the best I have ever read. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, written by Michael Chabon, is the Pulitzer-Prize winning novel about two cousins that start up a comic book in the early 1930's. Their comic book ends up gradually rising in the ranks of popularity at that time, rivaling such giants as Superman. The reason why this book is such a success is due to the amount of life that Chabon breathes into the novel. Its themes manage to stay relevant to the time its written in but their relevancy bleeds through into modern life today--it deals with such themes as racism, homosexuality and struggling to survive against a world that is doing everything to bring you down. The characters in this novel are so richly wrought that by the end of the novel I felt I had an emotional connection with them. I do not want to give too much away because I went in reading this novel with no real idea of what was going on, but once I started it, I had finished this 639 page novel within a week and a half.

Avicii BBC Radio One Essential Mix

Tim Bergling, known more popularly as Avicii is quickly becoming "The Next Big DJ". His electro-club bangers remain consistent in quality and have a "feel-good" quality to them. Each song progresses and builds up in energy without getting into dubstepp-y territory like most other artists. This mix that I am posting is two hours long and I listened to it all the way through and let me tell you: it fucking rocks. Avicii blends remixes of popular songs on electronic charts right now with classics with a healthy mix of his greatest hits. BBC Radio One Essential Mixes are an awesome thing I came across. They are dropped weekly on BBC's Radio Channel and they are always mixed by top-knotch DJ's. This Avicii essential mix is the best I have heard yet. I will post a tracklisting so you can tell what song you are listening to at what time. My personal favorites on the mix are Jailbait vs. Insomnia (Acapella), Nothing But Love For You (ReMode), and of course, Penguin. Enjoy this and be prepared to become obsessed with the mastery that is Avicii!!!
